At approximately 50,000 residents, Bozeman is the gem of Big Sky country. Just off of I-90, a bustling Main Street is filled with local shopping boutiques and trendy restaurants. The Cannery District, located 1.5 miles from Bozeman's Downtown and rich with history, is where you will find something for everyone, from shopping and dining, to apartment living, social spots, and plenty of space to play. The Market at Ferguson Farm is a hub for shopping and dining on Bozeman’s west side, walkable and bikeable for residents of this fast growing area.
Bozeman and the surrounding areas offer activities for all seasons. Winter brings a wispy, blower powder of snow (known as Cold Smoke to the locals) to the peaks at the Bridger Bowl Ski area and nearby Big Sky Ski resort. The dramatic Bridger and Spanish Peak mountain ranges are close by for mountain biking, skiing, and hiking, while the area’s winding rivers offer world-renowned fly fishing and rafting. In the fall, Montana’s big game species of deer, elk, moose, antelope, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, mountain lions, wolf, black bear and bison provide hunters with one of the best all around hunting experiences and options.
Bozeman is a popular stop on the way to Yellowstone National Park, just 2 hours south. Yellowstone is a must-see destination with active geysers, canyons and rivers, and an abundance of wildlife.
Don’t take it from me. Visit Bozeman and you will understand why this city often tops lists of the best places to live in the country.
